Former WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner (17-5-1, 2 NC) will take on Team Oxendine’s Nate Jolly (10-3) in the “XFC 14: Resurrection” main event on Friday, Oct. 21, at UCF Arena in Orlando, Fla.

In addition, the promotion has assembled an undercard Xtreme Fighting Championships President John Prisco is calling their best ever. And fortunately, fight fans around the country can watch all the action LIVE on HDNet.

Prisco commented on the main event and the card overall:

“We are very excited about XFC 14. Jamie Varner and Nate Jolly is going to be a war. Those are two of the most explosive lightweights in the world and I think it could be the fight of the night. In addition to the main event I believe we have some of the most dynamic fighters from all over the United States on our undercard. I think from top to bottom this is probably the best fight card we have ever put together and I’m sure the fans in Orlando and those watching on HDNet will agree.”

In the XFC 14 co-main event, the extremely heavy-handed Scott “The Bear” Barrett (12-2) will looking for yet another knockout as he takes on UFC veteran Carmelo “The Fury” Marrero (13-5, 1 NC) in a heavyweight showdown.

In other XFC 14 action, Marianna Kheyfets (3-0) returns to the promotion where she made her pro debut by submitting Kim Couture in the first round. Kheyfets will face veteran Molly Helsel (8-12-1) who has lost her last four fights in a row.

Also, Josh Clark (5-1) will look to get back on the winning track as he takes on Tampa’s Reggie Pena (8-5). Virginia’s Elijah Harshbargar (6-3) will face American Top Team stud Charles Blanchard (9-2), Ohio’s Mike Bernhard (9-2) fights Bellator and XFC vet Mikey Gomez (11-8), and Gracie Orlando’s Bruce Connors (8-3) will face Hardcore Gym product Lawson McClure (7-2).

Prisco also spoke specifically about several fighters competing on the main card:

“I’m really excited to have Marianna Kheyfets back. Marianna destroyed Kim Couture at XFC 11 and submitted her in the first round. We also have Josh Clark on the card. Josh has been running through everyone in his path on shows in Kentucky and we are going to really test him against a kid who knows how to finish fights, Reggie Pena. Charles Blanchard is another fighter I’m excited to have on the card. Charles is best known for being on The Ultimate Fighter but a lot of people don’t know that he also defeated Douglas Lima. We have Charles matched up with Elijah Harshbarger, a slick BJJ practitioner from Virginia.”
