ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) reporter Joe Gugelman caught up with UFC lightweight Cody McKenzie Saturday night at King of the Cage’s “Future Legends 3” event at the Eastside Cannery Casino in Las Vegas.

McKenzie discussed his upcoming fight with Vagner Rocha at UFC Fight Night 25 on Sept. 17 in New Orleans. He also talked about how he dealt with the first loss of his career against Yves Edwards back in January.

Also, with McKenzie being a fighter who has won 11 of his 12 fights via guillotine choke, we had to find out if he has been adding any other submissions to his repertoire. McKenzie said he doesn’t drill moves over and over, does not train like most fighters and does more sparring than anything.
