Twenty-four-year-old UFC light heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones has an extreme challenge coming up on Sept. 24 when he defends his title for the first time against former champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the UFC 135 main event being held at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

Some critics, including Jackson himself and former light heavyweight champ Rashad Evans, who is a former teammate of Jones, have labeled the champ as “cocky” and “arrogant”.

But according to Jones, if you are going to be the best you have to believe you are the best. “A lot of athletes that made a mark well after they are gone were known to be slightly arrogant. And if that’s me, I’m not necessarily ashamed of it,” said Jones.
