The Ultimate Fighting Championship sent out a press release today inviting the media to attend a conference call on Friday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT), in which UFC President Dana White is expected to make a “major announcement”.

And like a person with a giant awesome secret he can barely hold in, White gave a big hint via Twitter this afternoon:

“The “BIG Announcement” 2 morrow at 10 am will be the FOX fight. The UFC and FOX are so pumped for @UFCONFOXSports”

That is right, he will be announcing the fight(s) for the UFC’s debut on FOX Sports which is scheduled for Nov. 12 in a yet to be confirmed location. Hopefully he will announce the location for the event as well.

Apparently there are only going to be two fights televised on FOX Sports on Nov. 12, so it is not known if White will be announcing only the main event or both fights on Friday.

One fight that is being rumored and tossed around as a possibility is Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem. We know that Overeem is no longer with Strikeforce and Lesnar is ripe for a return. No doubt that would be a huge draw.

ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) of course will be on this call and we will let you our readers know as soon as we know what the news is, so stay close fight fans! — In the meantime, let us hear your thoughts; who would you most like to see fight on the UFC’s FOX Sports debut?

UPDATE: 10:01 p.m. CT – Joe Rogan announced on his podcast tonight that this card will be in Anaheim, Calif.
