The weeklong web series, Fighters vs. Gamers Challenge Powered by Gamma Labs, will raise awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America

BABYLON, NEW YORK – Gamma Labs LLC (www.GammaLabs.net), the country’s premier distributor of nutritional supplements, is bringing together professional mixed martial artists and professional video game players for three rounds of intense fighting action. Luckily for the gamers, the four-on-four battles are taking place in the virtual world of Halo: Reach and are meant to raise awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America (LLS). The Fighters vs. Gamers Challenge Powered by Gamma Labs debuts Monday, September 12th, at www.facebook.com/GammaLabs.

Although the intensity of the challenge will be very real, the two groups were more than 500 miles apart during the filming of the series. Representing the professional fighters in New York are Jamie Varmer, Gian Villante, Andy Main and Chris Weidman. The gamers, stationed in Raleigh, North Carolina, include Mason Cobb, Bryan Rizzo, Kyle Elam and Andy Dudynsky.

Gamma Labs CEO Clifford Morgan is hoping the event will be embraced by a new growing segment of Gamma Labs customers.

“We have always been popular with athletes and bodybuilders, but recently noticed professional gamers taking our products, particularly our Pre-Training Formula, before matches,” Morgan said. “The focus, energy and strength PTF delivers gives them an edge during big-money tournaments.”

Morgan first thought of teaming with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America after Bryan Baker, a sponsored Gamma Labs fighter, was diagnosed with Leukemia.

“We witnessed firsthand the impact of Leukemia on our friend Bryan,” Morgan said. “LLS is the only charity that raises money exclusively for blood cancer. This is a great chance to promote its cause while showing a different side of pro fighters and gamers.”

Rounding out the series cast are hosts Jason Sereno and Alisha Rachel. Rachel said viewers of the Fighters vs. Gamers Challenge Powered by Gamma Labs are in for much more than a standard online competition.

“When we combined these two groups we knew the gamers wouldn’t stand a chance in the octagon,” Rachel said. “So because the fighters agreed to step into the gaming world, we had to throw in some variables to make each round more of a fair fight. The gamers had a lot of fun rolling with the punches.”
