Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone

In what will be his fourth fight of 2011, and hot off the heels of an August 14th “Knockout of the Night” of Charles Oliveira, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will replace Sam Stout to take on 32-year-old German kickboxer Dennis Siver at UFC 137 on Oct. 29.

The UFC confirmed the lightweight match-up on their website Tuesday .

Stout’s reason for pulling out of the fight has not been confirmed, however, his brother-in-law and longtime trainer Shawn Tompkins passed away earlier this month.

A former WEC lightweight contender, Cerrone (16-3, 1 NC) made his UFC debut in February with a “Fight of the Night” performance and second round submission victory over Paul Kelly. Four months later, he returned with a unanimous decision win over Vagner Rocha at UFC 131.

Siver (19-7) is riding a four fight win streak and has fought twice so far this year, scoring unanimous decision wins over George Sotiropoulos and Matt Wiman.

UFC 137 will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined with a welterweight title fight between reigning champion Georges St-Pierre and former Strikeforce 170-pound champion Nick Diaz, who vacated his title to sign with the UFC for an immediate shot at St-Pierre.
