Karo "The Heat" Parisyan (above) will face tough up-and-comer Jordan Smith on Sept. 14 in Brazil.

Amazon Forest Combat will hold its inaugural show on Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil.

Headlining the card will be Japanese Olympic judo gold medalist Satoshi Ishii (4-1) taking on fellow judo black belt and former WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho (22-4-1).

Also on the card, 45-year-old BJJ black belt Royler Gracie (5-4-1) will fight what he is calling his final MMA bout against former Shooto featherweight champion Masakatsu Ueda (12-1-2).

UFC veteran and judo black belt Karo “The Heat” Parisyan (19-7-1) will make his return to competition for the second time this year as he takes on rising middleweight talent Jordan Smith (15-2-1).

“The Heat” had this to say:

“ I feel great about fighting in Brazil, I’m excited to fight Jordan Smith, bottom line I’m ready to dump someone on their head.”

Two submission specialists and UFC vets collide when Drew “The Master” Fickett (41-15) takes on Brazil’s “Jungle Boy” Ronys Torres (20-4). Fickett commented:

“I am honored to fight another grappling warrior like myself and I look forward to the ensuing battle.”
