You ROCK for checking out my blog, for those of you who have been following, you also ROCK and I thank everyone for your support. Now I’m on week four of my training camp for my fight in North Carolina, October 1, for BlackEye Promotions. I am facing Avery Vilche at 120 pounds.

This will also be a charity event benefiting breast cancer, called “Breast Cancer Beatdown.” I don’t know a lot about Avery; what I do know is that she is very tough, has good ground skill and is a true sport. I admire her willingness to face any opponent who she is offered.

At the end of last week, Jason and I rented a car and drove down to New Mexico to pick Marky up from the ranch he was working on and learning about horses. Before we hit the road Friday morning, we took Lola to One of the Family Pet Care outlets here in Billings, Mont.

A friend, Cubby, from the gym told us about this awesome place, it’s his mom’s business. Thanks Georgia for taking the best care of Lola ever! They offer an enormous yard, indoor and outdoor access, lots of love, attention and other dogs to play with.

Georgia also works with www.montanapets.org. The goal of this website is to increase adoptions of Montana pets currently held in shelters, humane societies and rescue groups across the state.

It was a very long drive, we left Friday about 11 a.m., slept a couple hours in the car later that night and made it there mid-morning on Saturday. When we headed back up to Montana, we let Facebook know we were first headed to Denver for the evening. We planned on staying with my childhood friends Ashley and Lindsay (sisters); they haven’t seen Marky since he was a baby.

One of my coolest fans, who lives in Denver hit us up on Facebook letting us know that he would be at work and wanted us to come by and have dinner on the house at Armando’s Italian Restaurant. Wow, we ordered their large gourmet Supreme Pizza and it was excellent!! The garlic bread knots with marinara sauce that comes complimentary with the meal were soft, warm and flavorful. The leftovers were just as delicious. Thanks Buddy Lee and Armondo’s Italian Restaurant.

After dinner we headed over to Ashley and Lindsay’s house to hang out for the night; it’s always a fun time with the girls. We hit the road on Sunday, mid-morning, first stop was a surprise to Marky and I. We pulled off the freeway and saw the Budweiser Factory. Marky noticed it first, since we don’t drink EVER, I was curious and excited.

Jason had us wait in the car while he went in for a few minutes; when he got back, he said “lets go in”. We had full access to the Clydesdale Barn with out the guide. Marky spent a couple months on a working ranch, but not with horses like these. That was fun!!

We kept heading North, and stopped in Sheridan, Wyo., to say hello to our friends at Harbour Combat. Thanks Glenn and Val for meeting us downtown to talk for a while, it’s always a pleasure!!

We got back late Sunday night and returned the car Monday morning at 9 a.m. Then headed over to the gym to get back to work.

Thursday the 11th is my birthday, I will be 32 ~ HA ~ I guess I’m not a spring chicken anymore….LOL. I want to thank everyone for your continued support. Thanks to Jack Bratcher and www.ProMMANow.com for giving me this awesome opportunity!!
