The UFC has reportedly tabbed Shooto world champion Luis “Beicao” Ramos to replace Mike Swick against Erick Silva at UFC 134. The card takes place Aug. 27 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Tatame.com broke the news of the replacement on Tuesday and since several media sources have confirmed the switch. Earlier this week, the UFC announced that Swick would be forced to drop off the card due to a left knee injury.

Ramos is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. His last defeat came at the hands of UFC veteran Roan Carneiro last October. In 2007, he defeated Pride FC veteran Luciano Azevdeo.

Silva will also make his UFC debut this month. He received an invite to the UFC after winning the Jungle Fight welterweight tournament and title. In the finals, he defeated Mexican Francisco Ayon. The top prospect currently carries a 12-1 record with nine finishes.

UFC 134 will feature a middleweight title fight. Champion Anderson Silva will defend his title against Yushin Okami. Interestingly enough, Okami is the last man to hand Silva a defeat. He took a disqualification victory over “The Spider” in 2006.
