Tito Ortiz, Carlos Condit, Dominick Cruz, and Urijah Faber, each earned an additional $75,000 for their performances at UFC 132.

“Submission of the Night” goes to Tito Ortiz, Carlos Condit picked up the “Knockout of the Night” award, while “Fight of the Night” honors went to UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Urijah Faber.

Tito Ortiz saved his UFC career and also cashed in with “Submission of the Night” honors with his stunning and sudden victory over Ryan Bader. Ortiz beat Bader to the punch in the first round with a short, straight right hand that sent Bader reeling to the canvas.

Ortiz teed off with some patented ground-and-pound from the top, forcing Bader to desperately try to secure a leg. Ortiz cinched up his grip on the neck of Bader and then locked up his guard, applying enough pressure with the guillotine to elicit the tap.

Carlos Condit continued his hot-streak of (T)KO’s with a first round KO of Dong Hyun Kim. After being taken down, Condit showed off his ground game, quickly swept Kim, and then got to his feet to begin a flurry of action that would see Kim unconscious on the mat within mere moments.

Condit came forward with a left hand, a kick, and then added the cherry on top with a flying knee that connected on the chin of Kim dropping him instantly. Just like that, Condit has won his last three by some form of knockout, and gets the “Knockout of the Night” award.

The “Fight of the Night” belonged to the main event. UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Urijah Faber took their hard feeling against one another into the Octagon for a twenty-five minute spree of speed, movement, and violence. The back-and-forth battle ended after five rounds of action with Dominick Cruz emerging as the defending UFC champion.
