The comeback story for Antonio Carvalho is ready for another chapter. He has signed with the UFC to face Yuri Alcantara at UFC 134. The card, also known as UFC Rio, takes place Aug. 27 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.

Alcantara had been rumored to face former WEC fighter Mackens Semerzier, but the bout was never made official.

After returning from almost a two-year layoff in 2010, Carvalho has gone 3-0. In his last fight, he scored a unanimous-decision victory over UFC veteran Douglas Evans at Score Fighting Series. Before his current streak, “Pato” made a name for himself in Shooto. Between 2005-2007 he bested No. 2 featherweight Hatsu Hioki, Rumina Sato and Takeshi Inoue.

Alcantara made his WEC debut on the promotion’s last card. He knocked out Ricardo Lamas in the first round. Before signing with Zuffa, the Brazilian had won 10-straight fights and claimed the Jungle Fight lightweight title.

In the main event of UFC 134, Anderson Silva will defend his middleweight title against Yushin Okami. Former light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua also returns against another former champion, Forrest Griffin.
