"Little" Patricia Vidonic weighs in at MMA Beatdown 7

Hello, my name is “Little” Patricia Vidonic. I am a 31-year-old professional MMA fighter, wife and mom, living my dream. I grew up an only child in Medford, Oregon; losing my mom to breast cancer a couple months after turning 15.

We now reside in Farmington, New Mexico, looking to tour the United States in our RV, training at different facilities.

All of the skill I have gained has been in the last two-and-a-half years, from my exceptional coach and husband Jason.

For the last two years I have been training full time. Without ever boxing, wrestling and zero martial arts experience outside of MMA, I feel very accomplished. A little motto I live by every day is, “You get out what you put into it.”

I had my first amateur MMA fight January of 2009, winning by unanimous decision with three weeks of preparation.

Since the first time I stepped into the cage, I knew I wanted to make this my profession. I finished up my ammy career with a 4-1 record. I also held three titles, at two different weights (125 lbs. & 145 lbs.) at three separate promotions.

I lost my professional debut to an experienced fighter; however I have came back better and stronger in each one of my fights since.

I was part of a reality show, Ultimate Women Challenge last summer as well. I am striving to reach the top of my weight division, and I enjoy fighting challenging opponents.

I feel that win, lose or draw, in order to grow and progress as a fighter I must learn from each fight.

My next fight is June 25th at the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado. This is the biggest fight of my career so far.

I am headlining this event with Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman for the Beatdown MMA 110-pound championship belt (www.thebeatdownmma.com).

This is a charity event where 100% of donations and a portion of the proceeds will help fallen Sheriff’s deputy Brownlee’s family.

This is my first cut to 110 pounds, so this will be quite an experience.

Please stay tuned to blogs, video and pictures of my road to this championship bout. There will be a weekly blog here at ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com) about my training, dieting, and life leading up to the most important step of my career.
