In anticipation of next week’s UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill event scheduled for Saturday, May 28, at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the UFC held a conference call Thursday with the main and co-main event fighters.

UFC 130 Conference Call

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson discussed his motivation for fighting Matt “The Hammer” Hamill, and “The Hammer” explained why they asked and campaigned for a fight against the former champ.

Of course, Jackson’s recent comments about retiring at 35 were brought up, as well as his budding movie career. Hamill discussed his own soon-to-be-released movie and much more.

Former heavyweight champ Frank Mir and Roy “Big Country” Nelson talked about their motivations for fighting one another even though they are friends and explained how much they had changed since competing against each other in a grappling match years ago.
