Twenty-four-year-old Swedish light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson (11-1) began training MMA in 2006. A former boxer, he knocked out seven of his first nine opponents.

In his UFC debut in Nov. 2009 he knocked out Jared Hamman in just 41-seconds. Five months later he faced Phil Davis and suffered what remains the only loss of his career.

Shortly after the fight, Gustafsson and Davis began training together and he went on to win his next two fights. We will get to see just how much the Swede’s wrestling has progressed when he faces Vladimir Matyushenko on Aug. 6 at UFC 133.
