Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar explained on a short-notice media conference call Thursday that he is once again battling diverticulitis, a digestive disease that nearly ended his career two years ago.

Lesnar was scheduled to face opposing TUF 13 coach Junior dos Santos at UFC 131 on June 11 in a title eliminator bout, with the winner earning a shot against UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez.

Lesnar is now faced with the decision of either surgery or once again trying to manage the diverticulitis through diet and medication. Lesnar insists his career is not over and he will be back, but his first concern is his health and has to get this under control.

The UFC has now lost two main events in four days. Is it just me, or is everyone getting sick now that insurance is going to be available?
