Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard

The UFC has officially announced that both UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard have suffered injuries, and the UFC has scrapped the planned title fight for UFC 130.

The event takes place on May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

A report on MMAFighting also cites sources that indicate Edgar broke two ribs and Maynard injured a knee.

With both fighters pulling out of the main event, a light heavyweight fight between former champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Matt Hamill has been moved into the main event slot. A heavyweight contest between former champion Frank Mir and Roy Nelson has been moved into the co-main event.

A welterweight contest between Thiago Alves and Rick Story has been moved from the preliminary card to the main card.
