Dream event producer Keiichi Sasahara announced a pair of featherweight bouts for the upcoming Dream 17 “Fight for Japan” card at a press conference on Monday.

In the other featherweight contest, two-time UFC title challenger Caol Uno will return against Akiyo “Wicky” Nishiura.

After going 0-2-1 during a stint in the UFC, Uno returned to Dream and dropped to featherweight. In his first fight at the new weight, Uno fell by decision to Kazuyuki Miyata. On New Year’s Eve, “Wicky” made his kickboxing debut against Tetsuya Yamato. After three rounds, the fight was declared a draw. The colorful fighter has recently been training with Urijah Faber at Team Alpha Male.

Former Dream lightweight champion Joachim Hansen will take on former Strikeforce title challenger Mitsuhiro Ishida.

Since dropping to featherweight, Ishida is 2-0 in MMA. His last contest came in the Shootboxing ring. Hiroaki Suzuki knocked him out at S-Cup 2010. Hansen ended a three-fight losing streak with a submission victory over Hideo Tokoro at Dream 16. Last October, he defeated Sami Aziz at Superior Challenge 6.

Dream 17 with feature the first round and semifinals of the Japan Bantamweight tournament. The top-three finishers will advance to the World Bantamweight Tournament, which will take place later this year.
