UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz will defend his title against former featherweight champ Urijah Faber on July 2 at UFC 132. The promotion made the announcement on Saturday.

Cruz (17-1) moved down to 135 after losing to Faber at WEC 26 and he hasn’t lost since, displaying an incredible amount of head movement, footwork, and unpredictable striking. He won the bantamweight title at WEC 47 with a TKO win over Brian Bowles and defended it twice before the merger with the WEC.

His first UFC opponent, Faber (25-4), is 2-0 at bantamweight, defeating Takeya Mizugaki and Eddie Wineland. Faber earned a decision win over Wineland at UFC 128 in his UFC debut.
