(London, 16th March) Europe’s leading MMA promotion BAMMA is proud to announce BAMMA 6 will take place on Saturday 21st May at Wembley Arena headlined by Tom ‘Kong’ Watson V Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua in a clash for the BAMMA Middleweight Title.

Watson said: “Ninja is without doubt one of the most exciting and top Middleweight fighters in the world. I am so excited that this fight will happen in London for the UK fans. I HAVE NO DOUBT THIS WILL BE A WAR!!”

More than 835,000 TV viewers in the UK tuned in to watch Watson go to war with Alex Reid at BAMMA 4 to retain the BAMMA Middleweight Title, making it not only the most talked about MMA event of 2010 but also the most viewed UK MMA event ever. Now the crowd favourite and BAMMA Middleweight Champion Tom ‘Kong’ Watson is up for his toughest challenge yet – defending the belt against dangerous Brazilian contender ‘Ninja’ Rua in the UK’s most iconic sporting venue.

Last month’s BAMMA 5 at Manchester’s MEN Arena cemented BAMMA as an International player attracting the sport’s biggest stars and a celebrity crowd (including Ricky Hatton, Ken Shamrock, Alex Reid, Darren Gibson.) It took the UK’s bad boy, knock-out King, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley just 1 minute 46 seconds to make good of his pledge to demolish DEEP title holder, Yuya Shirai. BAMMA 5 was the first ever UK MMA event to be televised live on non subscription TV.

Ashley Bothwell, Managing Director of BAMMA said: “Kong Vs Ninja, England vs Brazil, Wembley Arena… This is BAMMA!”

With a soon to be announced stacked fight card, BAMMA 6 is shaping up to be the biggest UK MMA event to date.
