ProMMANow.com has learned Mariusz Pudzianowski‘s next opponent. The former “World’s strongest man” will face Pride FC and Elite XC veteran James Thompson at KSW 16, which takes place this May in Sopot, Poland.
Puzianowski, who is now training with his own team, has been inactive since defeating Eric “Butterbean” Esch in his last fight at KSW 14. The “Dominator” also holds victories over former professional boxer Marcin Najman and former Deep Megaton champion Yusuke Kawaguchi.
Thompson will be looking to stop a losing streak. “The Colossus” has lost three-straights fights to Kawaguchi, Miodrag Petkovic and Rob Broughton. Despite his 15-14 record, Thompson holds victories over Olympic gold medalist Hidehiko Yoshida and Don Frye. In 2008, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson stopped Thompson in one of the most watched MMA fights in U.S. history.
Also expected on the card is a middleweight title bout between champion Krzysztof Kulak and one of the best Polish grappler Michal ‘Cipao’ Materla.
According to sources close to the promotion, KSW light heavyweight champion Mamed Khalidov could face Thales Leites on the card. The two were originally supposed to fight this weekend at KSW 15. However, due to an injury, Khalidov will now face UFC veteran James Irvin.

I never took an anatomy class so I could be wrong, but I thought Monson used the chest/deltoids. The lat is that sticking out next to his chest. He should just flare that bad boy out and wrap it around people’s faces.
I was thinking that the spiderman latissimus dorsi would come into the north-south choke. However, I don’t think it should even be a submission. He should just hit people with his lats. That sounds like something Greg Jackson would say to GSP.
