UFC middleweight Brian Stann talks with ProMMAnow.com's Brian Furby about his upcoming fight with Jorge Santiago at UFC 130 on May 28.

ProMMAnow.com was on location in Columbus, Ohio all weekend at the 2011 Arnold Sports Expo.

In addition to the coverage of “Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson“, ProMMAnow.com’s Brian Furby and Mike Menninger were able to catch up with UFC middleweight Brian Stann.

Stann, a staple at the expo all weekend, took some time out of signing autographs and visiting with fans at the Gaspari Nutrition booth to grant ProMMAnow.com this exclusive interview.

Stann will be the first one to welcome top-10 ranked middleweight Jorge Santiago back to the UFC when they face off on the “UFC 130: Edgar vs. Maynard 3” main card on May 28 in Las Vegas.

Following Santiago’s 1-2 stint in the UFC in 2006, he bounced back winning his next nine fights. Since his first UFC incarnation he has gone 11-1 and picked up the Sengoku middleweight title in the process.

Stann says he is expecting Santiago to come in at 110% and much better than the first time he was in the UFC. He is prepared for a three-round battle and says he hopes Santiago is ready.

  1. I really like Stann but gonna be a tough fight for him. If he can get past Santiago, will be a great win and put him close to the top ten.

  2. Stann is a great guy. I was impressed that, not only was he there all weekend, he was engaging with fans on Sunday after 2 long days before that and seemed genuinely happy to be there. With the way he carries himself inside and outside the cage, and the work he does for his fellow soldiers, Stann is certainly a perfect guy to carry the banner for our sport.

  3. Oh, he didn’t think I was cool. Did I say that he did? If so, my mistake. The only person who thinks I’m cool is my grandma.
