ProMMAnow.com‘s (www.prommanow.com) Josh Cross caught up with heavyweight Scott “The Bear” Barrett (11-2) after his first round TKO victory over TUF 10 and UFC 92 veteran Mike Wessel this past Saturday night. The two fought in the “SportFight X: Middle Tennessee Mayhem” co-main event which took place at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Barrett admits he wanted to keep the fight on the ground where he feels most comfortable. He also admits nerves are an issue with him before he fights and it helps when his old friend Todd Duffee is with him to help keep him calm. Barrett says if he could fight anyone, he would like to fight UFC heavyweight Jon Madsen.
