“Big Rigg” Jeremiah Riggs signed for “Middle Tennessee Mayhem”

Jeremiah Riggs will ride into Murfreesboro, TN on a 4 fight win streak at “Middle Tennessee Mayhem”. “Big Rigg” is hoping to make it 5 straight with a win over Eric Slocum on January 29th at the Murphy Center.

Riggs is best known for his time on the UFC hit reality show “The Ultimate Fighter” and VH1′s “Daisy of Love”. Riggs is showing the MMA community that he is more than just a reality star. After he was eliminated from The Ultimate Fighter Riggs packed up from Vicksburg, MS and moved to Granite City, IL where he began training under Matt Hughes and Marc Fiore at The HIT Squad.

Now with a good camp behind him Riggs has quietly made a name for himself with quality wins on some big shows this year. Riggs won two fights this summer by first round knockout then had an impressive showing at Bellator 30 in Louisville with a unanimous decision over Mike Fleniken.

He then followed it up with a unanimous decision victory over James Sharp at Strikeforce Challengers in Jackson, MS last month for his fourth straight victory.

SportFight X President Adam Gibbs is excited to have Riggs on the card. “Man we are thrilled to have Jeremiah fighting for us,” exclaimed Gibbs. “Jeremiah is not only a reality star but he’s a badass. A lot of guys get on TV then try to milk it for their 15 minutes of fame. Jeremiah is in the gym working to become a better fighter every day. Everytime I see him fight he gets better. He is in for a tough fight. Slocum has been training hard and could present some problems on the ground. We’ll see how it shakes out next month.”

“Middle Tennessee Mayhem” will be held on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro,TN at the Murphy Center on January 29th. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.
