PARMA, Ohio – More than 1,600 mixed martial arts fans braved the cold winter night this past Saturday, Jan. 15, for “Dan Bobish’s Ultimate Cage Battles: Pride & Glory” which took place at the Ohio Nets Sports Complex in Parma, Ohio.

In his first bout since being released from the UFC last year, hometown favorite Forrest “The Meat Cleaver” Petz (22-9) won a tough unanimous decision victory over Herbert “Whisper” Goodman (16-10) in the night’s main event.

Also on the main card, Brian “The Predator” Rogers (6-2) scored his fifth consecutive knockout victory by stopping Robert Conner (9-4) at 3:07 of the first round. Tiawan Howard (8-6) got back on the winning track with a second round submission of Eric Moon (4-4). And in the night’s co-main event, Jason “The Juggernaut” Riley (9-5) scored a second round key lock submission victory over fellow heavyweight Bobby Brents (7-1).

There were also eight amateur bouts on the card, with notable mention going to Cody Garbrandt (3-1) and Jeremiah Yeager (3-0) who both scored impressive wins. The 145-pound Garbrandt scored a big knockout over Billy Freeson (0-1) just 1:18 into the bout and Yeager made a big comeback against Jake Huffman (2-2) by pulling off a rear-naked choke submission with just 17 seconds left in the fight.
