UFC welterweight Daniel Roberts (12-1) confirmed via Twitter that his next fight will come against Claude Patrick (13-1) at UFC 129 in Toronto on Apr. 30.

Roberts is coming off of a first round submission win over Greg Soto at UFC 125 on Jan. 1. He secured a kimura that forced Soto to tap at the 3:45 mark of round one. The win was Roberts’s third in a row in the Octagon after dropping his UFC debut to John Howard.

Most of Roberts’s wins have come via submission, but Patrick also has a very strong ground game. Patrick is riding a twelve fight win streak and has UFC wins over James Wilks and Ricardo Funch.

UFC 129 will feature a welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre defending his title against top contender Jake Shields and UFC hall of famer Randy Couture against former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida. A bantamweight bout between Charlie Valencia and Ivan Menjivar has also been confirmed for the show.
