Former WEC title challenger Takeya Mizugaki will return to action against Francisco Rivera. The fight will be a part of UFC Live 3 on, which will take place on March 3.

MMAWeekly reported the fight over the weekend. The UFC has not officially announced the card. However, media sources have reported that the card will most likely take place in Louisville, Ky.

After winning the Cage Force bantamweight championship, Mizugaki made his WEC debut. He came in as a last-minute challenger for Miguel Torres. After a hard-fought five-round fight, the judges awarded Torres the decision. However, Mizugaki’s performance earned him a place in the promotion.

He returned and sandwiched a loss to Scott Jorgensen between victories over Jeff Curran and Rani Yahya. In his last fight, he faced off against former featherweight champion Urijah Faber. Late in the first round, Faber secured a rear-naked choke and finished the fight.

Rivera suffered his first professional loss in his WEC debut. Erik Koch stopped him in the first round with strikes. Prior to that, Rivera had won five-straight fights including a pair of victories under the Called Out MMA banner.

Yesterday, news broke that a middleweight match up between Rousimar Palhares and Alexandre Ferreira will also be a part of the UFC Live 3 card.
