On this week’s show, hosts Darren McFarland, Brad Hopkins and Chris Pappas spoke with legendary Muay Thai coach Kru Phil Nurse. Nurse talks about working with current UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar for his two fights with B.J. Penn and the factor that Edgar’s increased confidence played in the second bout and how his training is going now as he prepares to meet Gray Maynard on Jan. 1.

Nurse also talks about another one of his pupils, Georges St-Pierre, and his recent title defense against Josh Koscheck at UFC 124 in which the champ dominated him all five rounds for a unanimous decision victory. Also, Nurse shares his thoughts on GSP potentially moving up in weight to fight middleweight champ Anderson Silva.

The guys also discuss Thursday’s final WEC card, Herschel Walker’s MMA career, Rampage on Dr. Phil and much more. Let us know what you think of the show!

  1. Phil Nurse is a legend. The best part about this though was I was able to listen and not get greasy. — j/k

  2. Frankie’s striking does look better since going to Phil Nurse. Good stuff.
