Newly-crowned UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo (18-1) has been forced to pull out of his planned Jan. 1 title defense at UFC 125 against Josh Grispi, according to Heavy.com.
The website reported that Aldo has “a compacted vertebrae was causing tingling” in his arms.
Aldo and Grispi (14-1) were scheduled to compete in the UFC 125 co-main event in the first featherweight title fight since the WEC-UFC merger. Grispi had been set to fight Erik Koch in the co-featured bout on the WEC 52 card, but pulled out of the fight to get a title shot.
