UFC light heavyweight contender Rashad Evans (15-1-1) might not have to wonder much longer when he’ll get his shot at current titleholder Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (19-4). MMAWeekly is reporting that UFC 128 will take place in Abu Dhabi on March 19 and could feature a title bout between Evans and Rua.

Rua has been recovering from a knee injury since taking the belt from Lyoto Machida at UFC 113 last May. It was a rematch of a bout Machida won by decision at UFC 104, though most onlookers though Rua outpointed the champion that night. Rua is 3-2 in the Octagon and won the 2005 PRIDE light heavyweight grand prix.

Evans lost the championship to Machida in his first title defense at UFC 98, but rebounded with wins over Thiago Silva and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, earning him the top contender spot.
