Former WEC bantamweight champion and pound-for-pound contender Miguel Torres (38-3) is set to face Antonio Banuelos (18-6) at UFC 126, according to Heavy.com.

Torres had cleared through the 135-pound division before losing his title in stunning fashion last year to Brian Bowles, suffering a highlight reel first round KO. That was followed by a submission loss to Joseph Benavidez, who cut Torres with a nasty elbow before locking in a guillotine choke.

Most recently, Torres got back on the winning track at WEC 51 last month, stopping Charlie Valencia via submission in round two. With the WEC set to merge with the UFC, Torres will continue his climb back up the bantamweight ladder under the UFC banner.

Banuelos, also a longtime WEC vet, had a three fight win streak snapped by Scott Jorgenson with a decision loss. But Banuelos bounced back with a win at WEC 51 as well, outpointing Chad George.
