The UFC reportedly offered WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo a shot at lightweight contender Kenny Florian in December, but Aldo’s management team declined the offer, according to Tatame.com.

Speculation has run wild about whether Aldo will or should move into the UFC’s lightweight division, but Aldo told Tatame that he’s willing to fight whomever in either promotion:

“I wanna fight, it can be at WEC or in the UFC.”

Aldo appears set to face Mark Hominick in January, where he will defend his title for the third time.

In his last fight, Aldo knocked out Manny Gamburyan in the second round at WEC 51. Another likely contender at 145, Josh Grispi, will face Erik Koch at WEC 52 on Nov. 11.
