COUNTDOWN TO UFC 121 focuses on three of the main bouts scheduled for “UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez” which takes place this Saturday night, Oct. 23, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

The primary fight of focus on the show of course is UFC 121’s main event between current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and number one contender Cain Velasquez. One of the best quotes of the show comes from Lesnar who says he doesn’t care “what sort of sweet nothings” people around Velasquez are whispering in his ear, he is not going to be able to win this fight.

Lesnar also says after he wins, he plans to “drink a Corona and eat a burrito just for your [Velasquez’s] Hispanic heritage.”

The show also profiles the UFC 121 welterweight bout between Jake Shields and Martin Kampmann. After manhandling UFC veteran Dan Henderson in his final Strikeforce bout, Shields will make his UFC debut against Kampmann, who is a top-10 ranked welterweight. The bout will serve as a great indication of just where Shields stands among the UFC talent pool.

Finally, COUNTDOWN TO UFC 121 looks at the light heavyweight match-up between former champion Tito Ortiz and Matt Hamill, and how Hamill is dealing with having to fight his former TUF coach, mentor and friend.
