It's the beginning of the end as Dustin Ortiz mounts Cory Alexander's back in the third round and pounds out a TKO victory to win the Gameness FC 125 lb. Title Saturday night, Oct. 9, 2010, in Nashville, Tenn. Photo by Jack Bratcher

Gameness Fighting Championship VIII took place at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds Sports Arena Saturday night, Oct. 9, in Nashville, Tenn. In the main event, Strikeforce vet and local Nashville MMA fighter Dustin Ortiz was crowned the Gameness 125 lb. champion after out-wrestling and eventually stopping Clarksville’s Cory Alexander.

2004 Olympian Rhadi Ferguson (American Top Team) made his second pro MMA appearance by stopping local heavyweight Jeremy Boczulak midway through the first round with punches. Ferguson used his speed and explosiveness to avoid Boczulak’s attack and landed a big left hook that he was able to capitalize on and finish the fight.

All in all there were eight amateur and seven professional bouts. For a complete record of the fight results go here: GFC 8 fight results. And for a video of Rhadi Ferguson vs. Jeremy Boczulak, check that out here: Rhadi Ferguson GFC 8 fight video.

In the following photos you will see action from both the amateur and pro cards. ProMMAnow.com was able to capture pictures of each fight, so you will see several photos of each fighter that was on the card. Enjoy the slideshow. It will play automatically or you can sift through the photos yourself.

Note: There’s no photos of the actual Ferguson vs. Boczulak fight (although there are a few of Rhadi himself) because it was either take photos or shoot the video, so I chose the video. Wish we had photos from that fight but whaddaya gonna do?
