The gunslinger Tim Sylvia prepares for battle.

MMA heavyweight and part-time professional wrestler Josh Barnett de-virginized Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia into the world of professional wrestling this past weekend in Japan.

The action took place on Sept. 25 at “GENOME 13” for the pro wrestling promotion IGF (Inoki Genome Federation) owned by Antonio Inoki.

In interviews prior to the match, Barnett promised he was NOT going to take it easy on the former UFC heavyweight champ and was a bit concerned about Sylvia being able to put on an exciting and believable performance since he had never wrestled before.

From the looks of these photos, Barnett initiated big Tim into the wrestling world with force. You have to love Sylvia’s walk-out costume with the belt of bullets draped over his shoulder.

Of course wrestling is fake, but it still requires a great deal of athleticism and we all know that has not always been Tim’s strongest characteristic, so hopefully the big guy survived his pro wrestling initiation without injury.

Damn Josh, not so hard. It's only supposed to look real.
Josh, when we do the suplex am I supposed to land on my back? Wait, Josh... I'm not ready...
Dammit Josh, I told you I wasn't ready.
Okay, let's try it again. I think I got it, perfect form eh Josh?
Holy Mother of God Josh! Way too hard brother! Way too hard!
