Alvarez Predicts Fight of the Year with Huerta, while KJ Noons calls out boxing’s best; Plus, Cullum Headlines KOTC – all the action begins TONIGHT at a special time – 8:00 p.m. ET on HDNet!

DALLAS (September 17, 2010) Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez will meet Roger Huerta on October 21 in Philadelphia, but before the two go toe-to-toe in the cage, they’ll go face-to-face tonight on HDNet’s “Inside MMA.”

“My prediction: fight of the year,” says Alvarez. “I’m going to do everything I can to knock Roger out.”

Huerta is a former Sports Illustrated cover boy, but has lost 3 of his last 4 fights. Even though the title isn’t on the line, Huerta knows this is an important fight for his career.

“I’m putting this in my mind that he’s trying to go out and kill me, kill my career. I’m not going to let that happen,” says Huerta. “He’s going to bring the best out of me and I’m going out there to try to knock him out and to finish him.”

KJ Noons of Strikeforce also joins the panel to talk about his upcoming title shot.

Noons is busy preparing for a match with Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz on October 9, but tells Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten that he’s really looking for a fight with boxing’s two top dogs: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

“Pacquiao might want to come over and do MMA and then do a boxing fight… he used to be a kickboxer, so that can happen,” says Noons. “We know Mayweather is not going to come to MMA, but I’m probably the only one willing to go over and fight him in boxing.”

Plus, Ron Kruck continues his tour of “Inside America’s Gyms” at Arizona Combat Sports – and has more details on Josh Barnett’s return to Strikeforce.

Immediately following “Inside MMA,” at 9:00 p.m. ET, HDNet will present a LIVE broadcast of “HDNet Fights: King of the Cage: No Mercy” from the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT.

In the main event of the evening, Abel Cullum (21-3) will defend his KOTC Flyweight Title against Jimmie Rivera (6-1).
