M-1 Selection Americas Finals set for Sept. 18 in Atlantic City

M-1 Selection Americas Finals are set to take place Saturday, Sept. 18 at Bally’s Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, N.J. Ten fighters from five weight classes will compete for the opportunity to move on to the larger international stage.

M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan explained the importance of the event:

“The Finals are two weeks away and the event is drawing considerable attention. The Americas Finals will crown the 2010 Selections Champions and next year brings a riveting calendar of international events. Our fighters see the horizon and the significance of being in a position to contend for championships.”

These final round bouts feature rising American stars who are one victory away from being crowned the M-1 Selection champion in their respective weight classes.

  • Jose Figueroa and George Sheppard – Lightweight Division
  • Tom Gallicchio and Len Bentley – Welterweight Division
  • Tyson Jeffries and Mike Geurin – Middleweight Division
  • Byron Byrd and Daniel Vizcaya – Light Heavyweight Division
  • Kenny Garner and Pat Bennett – Heavyweight Division

PRELIMINARY CARD

  • Shane Primm and Bristol Marunde – Middleweight Division
  • Josh Bacallao and Josh Thorpe – Lightweight Division
  • Aaron Meisner and Jose Rodriguez – Welterweight Division
