If you’re an MMA fan, this video interview with New York Assemblyman Bob Reilly might just cause you to rip your hair out. This lily-livered politician, if it were up to him, would probably have Andy Griffith and Father Knows Best reruns as the only programs allowed on American television. Forget about people’s choice and the freedom to decide for yourself. No, Mr. Reilly does not think Americans are smart enough to make up their own minds about what is good for them, so he would rather do that for you. The good news is, the guy looks pretty old so hopefully his reign of influence upon society is very short from here on out (that’s about as nicely as I can put it).

This guys is a MORON. Boxing is way more devastating to a fighters health. They can take multiple blows to the head, literally hundreds of head shots, and keep fighting. If a fighter gets knocked down they give him a standing 8 count and let him continue fighting even though the fighter is obviously knocked out on his feet. For example, listen to James ‘Phoney’ Toney talk then listen how clear and coherent Randy Couture talks. Youn need frikin’ subtitles to understan Toney. Ridiculous argument.
Damn. People like this just need to be told to sit down and be quiet during these meetings on the subject. He obviously does not know what he’s talking about, or he could be keeping this position for other more nefarious reasons.
