BOSTON – The fighter weigh-ins for “UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2” took place Friday afternoon at TD Garden in Boston, Mass., the same location which hosts tonight’s live Pay-Per-View broadcast starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Headliners B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar both tipped the scales at 154 lbs., one pound under the 155 lb. lightweight title fight limit.

Co-headliners Randy “The Natural” Couture and James “Lights Out” Toney both weighed in well under the 265 lb. heavyweight limit, with Couture weighing in at 220 lbs. (with jeans on), and Toney weighing in 17 lbs. heavier, at 237 lbs.

Lightweight fighter Gabe Ruediger, who will be facing Joe Lauzon in one of two preliminary bouts which will be shown live on Spike TV tonight, presented Lauzon with a cake at the weigh-ins that had the words “sorry for your loss” written in icing.

UFC 118 will be Ruediger’s first fight inside the Octagon since he was booted off the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show after indulging in cake then failing to make weight. Lauzon was a house mate of Ruediger’s on the show.
