UFC President Dana White was on ESPN’s SportsCenter this week giving updates on each division’s champions as well as the headliners going down this Saturday at UFC 118 in Boston. Here are a few of the notable quotes from interview:

Dana on B.J. Penn vs.  Frankie Edgar 2:

“The reason we’re doing the rematch is I hate controversy. I want to know who the best guy in the world is. I don’t want there to be any doubts. – I think what happened to B.J. Penn is he fought Frankie Edgar’s fight that night. – This gives Frankie Edgar a chance to prove it wasn’t a fluke.”

Dana on Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen 2:

“All I wanted was the old Anderson Silva back. I think Chael Sonnen might have lit a fire under him.”

Dana on UFC light heavyweight champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Rashad Evans:

“He just did knee surgery. His other ones have been in Brazil. We just did this one in the United States with the best doctor in the country. He’s recovering well and we’re looking at mid-Spring / early Summer for his return and he’ll fight Rashad Evans.”

Dana on James Toney:

“He’s crazy. This guy’s been saying he’s gonna knock me out at the press conference. It’s going to be a very interesting week for me.”
