Former professional wrestler Dave Batista asks those mixed martial arts fans who may doubt his abilities or motivations for wanting to become an MMA fighter to just give him a chance to earn your respect.
He says if pro wrestlers are anything, they are durable. He also says he’s had to work for everything he’s ever achieved and he really wants to make the crossover and become a legitimate MMA fighter.
The former wrestler is training at Cesar Gracie‘s academy along with the Diaz brothers, Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez. Nothing is official, but Batista will likely make his Strikeforce debut later this year or early 2011.
