Gabe Ruediger returns to the Octagon at UFC 118 after a nearly four year absence.

UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2” takes place Saturday, Aug. 28 at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. Headlining the card is a rematch between lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and number one contender B.J. Penn.

After Edgar’s unanimous decision upset over Penn at UFC 112 in April, the Hawaiian will do his best to prove the loss was just a fluke.

The UFC 118 main card will air live on Pay-Per-View starting at the normal time of 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT. However, as a special treat, Spike TV will air two of the preliminary card bouts live and free starting at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT, one hour prior to the Pay-Per-View.

The two preliminary bouts have been announced as Joe Lauzon vs. Gabe Ruediger and Nik Lentz vs. Andre Winner.

Joe Lauzon vs. Gabe Ruediger

Lauzon (18-6), a Massachusetts native, has won two of his last three bouts, but will be looking to get back on track in front of his home crowd after dropping his most recent fight to Sam Stout via decision back in January.

Ruediger (17-5), a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter season 5, returns to the UFC after a nearly four year absence. He is on an impressive six fight win streak that started in Feb. 2009, in which he finished five by submission and his most recent by knockout.

Nik Lentz vs. Andre Winner

Lentz (18-3-2), a product of Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, has decision wins over Rob Emerson and Rafaello Oliveira, as well as a draw against Thiago Tavares since joining the UFC in 2009.

Winner (11-3-1) also holds a win over Oliveira, a unanimous decision from UFC Fight Night 21 back in March. Prior to that, he knocked out Roli Delgado at UFC 105 and lost a decision to Ross Pearson at the TUF 9 Finale.
