The UFC has put together a new weekly web-only program entitled “UFC Ultimate Insider”, and the first episode debuted on Thursday. The 30-minute news show is hosted by every one’s favorite Octagon goddess Arianny Celeste, and the girl does a pretty damn good job.

The debut episode takes a look at the breaking news within the world of the UFC, including recent fight announcements, match changes, and who is on the injured list. Viewers also get a recap of “UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin“.

Arianny Celeste takes viewers inside a recent Las Vegas photo shoot that will have her fans begging for more. Also, fans get a look inside the head of Forrest Griffin (a scary place) on a segment called “Unguarded: Inside the Mind of a UFC Fighter.”

Rounding out the episode, Joe Rogan sits down one-on-one with Jon “Bones” Jones, who is headlining “UFC on Versus 2” against Vladimir Matyushenko this Sunday, Aug. 1. Rogan talks to Jones about how he deals with all they hype surrounding him, why he chose to move camps to Jackson’s MMA, what he thinks about his upcoming opponent and more.

It is somewhat surprisingly a good show. It is not as “fluffy” as one might expect and any UFC fan should enjoy it. Hopefully they will keep this up and develop it into something raw, honest and entertaining, which is what most MMA fans want.

What fans do not want is a half hour hype machine spewing out propaganda and advertisements. If they can stay away from those temptations, they could have something decent here. The organization is big enough and has enough going on, they really could have their own news show. We will see how it goes.

Check out the debut episode of “UFC Ultimate Insider” now playing on UFC.com.
