Just a few days ago, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz (15-7-1) signed his contract to fight Matt Hamill (9-2) at UFC 121 on Oct. 23 in Anaheim, Calif.

Having come off neck surgery in March, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” is now back in the gym training. In the following videos Ortiz talks about how it feels to be injury free and moving forward with his career.  We also get to see Ortiz hit mitts during boxing practice, and he’s looking pretty good.

Having not won a fight since 2006 against Ken Shamrock, does Ortiz still have what it takes to compete with a younger fresher faster stronger fighter like Hamill, who was actually one of Ortiz’s students on The Ultimate Fighter season three?

Technically, at 33-years-old, Hamill is only two years younger than Ortiz. However, Ortiz’s body has been through a lot. This fight with Hamill should be a good indicator of just where he currently stands, and possibly how much longer he can or wants to still compete.

In the video below Ortiz mentions he could compete for another five years with the UFC, but if he were to lose against Hamill, five more years in MMA’s premiere organization may be closer to a pipe dream than reality.

Other videos below show Ortiz at a recent car show where he announces the fight with Hamill and the final video show Ortiz signing the fight contract.

  1. Could well be fight of the year, so far Pacquiao has shown he has never been afraid to stand toe to toe with every fighter he has faced.

Could he do this with a man of Margaritto stature.

That alone will be something to behold, small 5’6 guy fighting a 5’11 guy outweighing him by over a stone but the little guy is not just out boxing him he overpowering him, standing there and trading and making Marg take the backward steps and folding under the pressure.

Pacquiao is too goo for his own good, if Juan Diaz said he was going to take on Margaritto people would say it was a mammoth task and Diaz could well take a beating. This is the same Diaz who the same people say Pacquiao ducked.

This is going to be Pacquiao toughest fight and the Pacquiao vs Margarito could be FOTY
