In this interview Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker talks about the decision to let former middleweight champion Jake Shields go after the expiration of his contract which had no “championship clause” as most of their contracts do. Basically, the numbers that Shields had in mind and the numbers Strikeforce had in mind were not compatible.

Coker also talks about his desire to sign former WWE superstar Batista and possibly putting together a Bobby Lashley vs. Batista fight on Pay-Per-View.

Coker says he predicted Fedor Emelianenko‘s loss to Fabricio Werdum because of how extraordinary Werdum is on the ground, and he brings up the possibility of a heavyweight tournament.
