Damian "The Polish Pitbull" Grabowski

Bellator Fighting Championships has announced the signing of undefeated heavyweight Damian “The Polish Pitbull” Grabowski (13-0). He will make his U.S. debut in the main event at Bellator 25, which will take place at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Ill. on Aug. 19.

Grabowski will face the heavy-handed Scott Barrett (10-1) in what will be the first round (quarterfinals) of Bellator’s season three heavyweight tournament.

Not only has “The Polish Pitbull” finished each of his 13 opponents he has faced by either knockout or submission, but not a single one of his opponents has made it out of the second round.

In Austria in 2009, Grabowski took part in a 16-man one night heavyweight tournament with no time limits. He defeated all four of his opponents, two by knockout, two by submission, and the longest bout lasted only 3:48.

Most recently, Grabowski defeated Michal Kita (10-4) via first round TKO (doctor stoppage) at “Beast of the East: Grabowski vs. Kita” June 12 in Poland.

Scott Barrett has finished his last four opponents via TKO. In his most recent outings, he defeated Ashley Rivers (4-8) at “Moosin: God of Martial Arts” in Dec. 2009, and Ty Lee (7-1) at Bellator 19 in May 2010.

Bellator 25 will also feature an opening round of Bellator’s season three women’s 115 lb. tournament. Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto (7-1) will take on undefeated Jessica Pene (7-0), and Aisling Daly (13-5) will face Lisa Ward (9-0).

The Bellator season three heavyweight and women’s 115 lb. tournaments begin Aug. 12 and will once again be televised live each Thursday night on FOX Sports Net
