On June 26, Strikeforce heavyweight contender Fabricio Werdum will face consensus number one heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko in the main event of a Strikeforce/M-1 Global co-promoted card in San Jose.

Werdum says he has a lot of respect for Fedor, but he has been wanting and waiting for this fight a long time. He has been training with the likes of King Mo, Babalu, Mark Munoz, Wanderlei, and Vladimir Matyushenko.

Werdum says he is usually a little nervous before his fights but he is not nervous at all to face Fedor. He says everyone tries to beat Fedor the same way, but he has a secret strategy, a surprise for Fedor. Finally, beaming with confidence, Werdum says it is the biggest fight of his life and for a prediction claims he will submit Fedor in the first round via choke.
