Roger Huerta talks about his recent loss to Pat Curran at Bellator 17. He talks about his relationship with Pat’s cousin, Jeff Curran, and also where he goes from here.

The former Sports Illustrated cover boy says with Bellator’s permission he is allowed to fight in other organizations, and he mentions possibly getting a fight in Japan with K-1 or DREAM as something he would be interested in.

Huerta also talks about the disappointment of not being able to reach the level of a title-contender, first in the UFC, and now in the Bellator tournament. He wonders if God is maybe telling him he is not ready for it, but all he can do is keep training and preparing himself to the best of his ability.

In addition to fighting, Huerta has done acting and modeling. He has two movies due for release this year. While still signed with the UFC, Huerta took a considerable amount of time off from fighting last year to pursue his acting career. Check out ProMMAnow.com’s interview with Huerta last year as he talked about acting and declining to extend his UFC contract.
