NEWARK, N.J. – The “UFC 111: St. Pierre vs. Hardy” weigh-ins took place Friday afternoon at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. A live stream of the weigh-ins aired in ProMMAnow.com’s UFC Room, and the archived replay is now available for viewing.

Nate Diaz looked noticeably beefier for his first UFC fight at 170 lbs. He looked ready to go as he put up his fists and got in the face of Rory Markham during their face-off. Maybe he was a little pissed that Markham couldn’t make the original agreed upon weight of 170 lbs. Markham weighed in at 177 lbs. and their bout was moved to a catch weight.

Shane Carwin looked absolutely enormous as he stepped on the scales. However, his opponent, Frank Mir has been noticeably putting on the muscle and did not look to be detrimentally under-sized as he faced off with Carwin.

Dan Hardy was wearing red contacts that matched his red mohawk. When he stared at the camera he looked like a werewolf. Hardy was bouncing up and down as welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre stepped on the scales. When they faced off he was still bouncing. He looked ready and eager to put a beating on the champ.

Hardy said:

“It will be explosive. It’s gonna be a war. I’m ready to go 25 minutes and I can’t wait.”

Ever the consummate martial artist St. Pierre looked calm and collected, and shook Hardy’s hand before the face off. St. Pierre said:

“…I don’t care about nothing. Just to see the people here pumps me up so much for the fight… I want to go fight by fight.  I want to be the best of the best. I know I’m fighting the best guy, the number one guy, the most dangerous one. I’m ready, I want to take him out .”
