Dan Henderson says one of the main reasons for his signing with Strikeforce is their presence on Showtime and CBS.
Henderson also states that the UFC banned his clothing company, Clinch Gear, in an effort to put pressure on him to re-sign with the promotion.
Henderson says that although it is true Dana White has helped the sport in many ways, he is also holding it back in some aspects. He describes White as “very emotional,” and says the UFC President “often says things emotionally that he probably doesn’t need to say.”
As far as White “holding the sport back”, Hendo specifically mentions White “putting down and trying to bury every other MMA organization.” Henderson believes competition is good and other organizations will bring new fans to the sport.
