Justin Wren vs. Jon Madsen at TUF 10 Finale

Two of TUF 10's best wrestlers will meet at the Finale.

According to our friends over at Around the Octagon, TUF 10 quarter-finalists Justin “The Viking” Wren and Jon Madsen will face each other at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale on Dec. 5 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. The event will air free on Spike TV at 9PM ET/PT.

Wren, who has been chronicling his TUF 10 experience through a weekly blog here at ProMMA.info, faced UFC heavyweight veteran Wes Sims in his first fight on the show. Wren took Sims down easily and early in the bout, locked on a submission, and put the big man to sleep via arm triangle.

In his quarter-final fight, Wren faced another veteran, Roy “Big Country” Nelson. Wren was aggressive and pushed the pace in the first round. However, he seemed to gas and take more shots in the second, and the judges awarded Nelson the unanimous decision.

Jon Madsen took on Abe Wagner in the first and bloodiest fight of the season. One of the top wrestlers on the show, Madsen took Wagner down repeatedly and pounded on him. Wagner survived but lost the unanimous decision.

In Madsen’s quarter-final bout against Brendan Schaub, he was using his superior wrestling again to control the fight and looked to be winning. However, all it took was one big punch from Schaub and Madsen was out, and Schaub was the one advancing to the semi-finals.

Now Madsen and Wren will have the opportunity to prove to the world they still belong in the UFC even though they did not win The Ultimate Fighter. It is interesting to note that Wren now trains with the fighter who eliminated Madsen from the competition, Brendan Schaub.

In addition to The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights finalists who will be revealed on next week’s episode (Dec. 2), other bouts scheduled for the TUF 10 Finale include Jon Jones vs. Matt Hamill, Frankie Edgar vs. Matt Veach, Houston Alexander vs. Kevin Ferguson, Dennis Hallman vs. John Howard, Brian Stann vs. Rodney Wallace, and Mark Bocek vs. Joe Brammer.
